CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

One of Hollywood's biggest actors was in downtown Charleston Sunday taking in the flooded waters residents are so used to seeing this time of year.

Kevin Spacey took to Twitter Monday morning and posted a photo of himself standing shoeless, ankle-deep in water on Wentworth Street at Coming Street. The photo is captioned, partly sarcastically, "I had a great time in Charleston, SC. Beautiful summer weather..."

Spacey's certainly not the only tourist to get rained out over the weekend, but he's likely the most famous.  As the lead role on the Netflix-based series "House of Cards," based on a fictitious South Carolina congressman, Spacey's star is shining bright like always.

The series, which debuted in February of this year, has been nominated for nine Emmys.  Among those nominations was Spacey's for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series."
