SANTEE, S.C. (AP) - Emergency managers from counties along the central South Carolina coast are meeting to refine their hurricane preparations.
The meeting scheduled for Wednesday in Santee also includes officials from the state Emergency Management Division, as well as representatives from local, state and federal agencies and volunteer and private groups.
Participants will conduct table top exercises to refine their disaster plans and identity things that can be improved.
A similar session was held July 9 for counties along and near the southern coast. A planning exercise is also set for Aug. 14 for the state's northern coast.
