Deputies on the lookout for man who robbed Bluffton convenience store

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a man who robbed a Bluffton convenience store.

Investigators say the armed robbery happened at the Kangaroo Express on 1610 Fording Island Rd. at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The clerk said he was stocking shelves when the suspect, who was armed with a gun, ordered him to empty the cash register.

After taking money, the suspect took off.

Authorities describe the suspect as a light-skinned black male between the ages of 17 and 20, 5'11" tall, 150 pounds, wearing a dark colored long-sleeved shirt, dark jeans and a dark black baseball cap with a flat, silver brim and a "NY" emblem on the front.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. B. Cooler at (843) 255-3423 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
