JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The St. Johns Fire Department will break ground on two new buildings on Tuesday morning.
The first groundbreaking will be held at the site to house the department's new headquarters, Fire Station 7 on Main Road. They're breaking ground on that project around 10 a.m.
After that, they'll head over to Wadmalaw Island to break ground on a replacement building for Fire Station 3.
These two projects will allow for future growth of the St. John's Fire District and enhance service delivery to the citizens and visitors in the area.
