Man dies in motorcycle crash in Dorchester County

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A motorcyclist is killed after crashing into a vehicle Saturday night in Dorchester County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Investigators say the accident occurred on South Railroad Avenue around 8:13 p.m.

According to troopers the driver of a Kawasaki Motorcycle was traveling south, when it crashed into the rear of a Toyota 4-door that was turning into a private driveway.

The Dorchester County Coroner's Office has identified the motorcyclist as 38-year-old Brian Sampson of Ridgeville. Authorities say the Sampson was not wearing a helmet.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this accident.
