SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Summerville Police Department says flyers bearing anti-Semitic and anti-black language circulated in the Corey Gardens neighborhood last week.
Police responded to a home on Sandlewood Drive last Friday afternoon after receiving a call from a worried resident. The woman told officers she'd left her home at 2 p.m. and returned at 4 p.m. to find a letter-sized piece of white paper, folded in half and stuck in her front door.
According to the report, the paper reads, "See calling the cops did nothing. We run this place not you jews and (expletive). After we get rid of you jew boy we are going to start to get rid of the (expletive) and make this place what it once was. You are a stupid (expletive) we run Corey Gardens not some renter trash like you. You can't stop us you (expletive) jew garbage."
The woman said she found two more of the flyers on top of bushes on both sides of her front door. She also told police the letter was an "ongoing situation with the resident of Corey Gardens."
Police told the woman not to "excessively handle" any future postings so they may be processed for fingerprints.
