WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) -

A 19-year-old man is accused of raping a girl at a home in West Ashley.

The Charleston Police Department arrested Christian F. Prochaska of Knightsville late Monday night on Rivers Avenue and charged him with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with minor under 11.

Prochaska's arrest stems from an alleged incident on Aug. 13 when police responded to a home in West Ashley in reference to a sexual assault.

A man told police that he had gone to help his brother in Mount Pleasant, leaving his girlfriend's children at a home on Timberleaf Court with the homeowner and Prochaska, the homeowner's former foster son.

According to an incident report, when the man returned his girlfriend's daughter, the girl said Prochaska had "touched" her.

Prochaska is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
