CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Water System says they will close one lane of Lockwood Drive intermittently for the next two weeks for sewer repair, starting Friday.
According to the utility spokeswoman Jenny Craft, the southbound lane closest to the Ashley River will be closed between the City Marina and Beaufain Street for repairs of a collapsed sewer line. The other southbound lane will remain open to traffic.
The lane will be closed Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. before reopening for the weekend. It will remain closed next week until reopening Friday, August 29, for Labor Day weekend.
The closure will resume Sept. 3 and continue through Sept. 6.
Electronic signs will be posted in the area informing motorists of the closure.
