WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot twice outside of a West Ashley home Thursday night.
Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said officers responded to reports of a shooting on Balsam Street near White Oak Drive a little before 11 p.m.
According to an incident report, the victim was shot in his left shoulder and in his lower back. The victim was transported to MUSC for treatment.
Francis said the victim was not seriously injured in the shooting.
The report states the victim was in his driveway when he heard multiple shots fired and was hit. He could not provide a description of the shooter.
Crime scene tape was posted outside several homes as officers investigated.
