Investigators say a man arrested in connection to a fatal officer-involved shooting earlier this week, was arrested again after SWAT and police executed search warrants at a community in North Charleston on Thursday.

The North Charleston Police Department charged 21-year-old Denzel Washington with distribution of cocaine base.

Washington had been arrested on Monday, after police say he was found in a car following a police pursuit in Hanahan. According to Hanahan police, the driver, 22-year-old Travis Miller, shot at officers before being fatally shot by police. Washington was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.

Washington's latest arrest stems from an investigation on Thursday when law enforcement executed five search warrants in the Charleston Farms community in North Charleston.

Authorities also charged 30-year-old Pierre Grant, 27-year-old Tyrone Skillman and 21-year-old Tareal Cuttino with distribution of cocaine base.

North Charleston police officials say during the search of homes in the community, investigators found 40 grams of marijuana, a gram of cocaine base, 14 pills, 3 guns and items used to package and distribute illegal items.
