SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

A man fishing on Sullivan's Island has reeled in a shark which appears to be at least six or seven feet long.

A woman on the north end of Sullivan's Island took a photo Friday afternoon just after the man got control of the shark on the beach at Station 26 1/2 . The photo shows a number of other onlookers ready with their cameras.

Video shows the man released the shark back into the water.

Lauren Whetzel took video of the man catching the shark around 1:30 p.m. According to Whetzel, the man had the shark on the hook for about 45 minutes.
