One person seriously injured in wreck on Ladson Road

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities say one person was seriously injured after their car flipped during a wreck on Ladson Road near College Park Road, authorities say.

Charleston County Sheriff's Captain Kevin Whited said a person became entrapped after their car flipped during a two-vehicle collision a little before noon.  Whited said that motorist was taken to the hospital, but he could not confirm the severity of injuries.  Rescue officlas said that driver suffered life-threatening injuries during the wreck.

The occupants in the other vehicle only suffered minor injuries, according to Whited.

Two lanes were closed while authorities cleared the scene motorists were advised to avoid the area

Sheriff's deputies were joined by the Charleston County Rescue Squad, the C&B Volunteer Fire Department, and Charleston County EMS.
