Duo charged with attempted murder after woman nearly run over by car

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two people have been arrested after a 19-year-old woman told police she was nearly run over by a car outside her home.

Bond was set at $200,000 for 23-year-old Jamal Michael Anthony Clark and $100,000 for 22-year-old Dawnn Ashley Jamison who are both charged with attempted murder.

Clark and Jamison were arrested on Monday. Their arrests stems from an Aug. 12 incident when police responded to a home on Baker Street in reference to an ongoing harassment.

The 19-year-old victim said she was walking to the store when she was confronted by Jamison and Clark at the corner of Baker Avenue and Clinton Street. According to the victim, the suspects began harassing her because she is friends with Clark's ex-girlfriend.

A police report states during the confrontation, the victim said Jamison punched her in the face, and Clark threw her to the ground.  The victim said as she started to walk back to her house, Jamison got into her car and attempted to hit the victim at the front of her house.

The victim stated that the vehicle struck her right leg, but she was able to get out of the way.

Police say the following day, the victim reported that both of the suspects drove by her house and began harassing her again. The victim told officers that she saw Clark waving a gun in the air while he was in the vehicle.
