DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a young Summerville woman died Wednesday evening after crashing her car into trees along I-26.

The Dorchester County Coroner says 21-year-old Rachel McBryde Kam-Johnson was on her way home from Clemson when her car ran off the side the road and crashed into trees near mile marker 182.

Highway Patrol says Kam-Johnson drove off the left side of the road, overcorrected, and then ran off the right side.

Kam-Johnson was a Bishop England graduate.
