James Island alum Justin Bolus caught a 1 yard TD pass that will go down as the first offensive touchdown in the history of Charlotte 49ers football in the teams 52-7 win over Campbell at Richardson Stadium on Saturday.
Bolus' catch capped a 10 play 66 yard drive that helped the 49ers build their lead over the Camels.
"This was a really emotional game for me," said Bolus, who gets credit for scoring the 49ers first-ever offensive touchdown, after missing last fall's practice preparation following a pair of stomach surgeries. "Having the players coming up to me and I could see how happy they were for me. A couple came up to me and said 'I'm really happy you got to be that guy."
For the afternoon Bolus had 4 touches for a total of 28 yards.
