Best-selling SC authors attend Charleston luncheon

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Two best-selling writers from South Carolina are scheduled to attend an author's luncheon in Charleston.

Saturday's event features Cassandra King and Mary Alice Monroe.

King, the wife of writer Pat Conroy, lives in Beaufort and her latest novel is entitled "Moonrise." Monroe lives on the Isle of Palms and her latest book, "The Summer Girls," is the first of a trilogy set on Sullivans Island.

The luncheon at Hall's Chophouse is sponsored by Blue Bicycle Books.
