(RNN) - Former NBA player Dennis Rodman has returned from his second North Korean trip, and wants to bridge the gap with the U.S. and North Korea – with basketball.

On Monday, Rodman says he will go back to North Korea in December to train North Koreans in hopes for a possible basketball game with the U.S.

Rodman plans to invite 12 of his former colleagues to play against the North Korean team. He would not say specifically if Michael Jordan is on the invitation list.

The first game is planned for Jan. 8, 2014 - on Kim Jong Un's birthday.

Rodman says he will also train the North Korean basketball team for the Olympics.

During a news conference on Monday, Rodman said Kim Jong Un is a "good guy" and doesn't want war, he only wants to have a conversation with Obama.

When asked about the release of Kenneth Bae, the U.S. citizen jailed in North Korea, Rodman said he didn't want to get political.

While in North Korea, Rodman became the first foreigner to hold Kim Jong Un's new daughter. He and Kim also have plans to write a book.

Rodman first visited North Korea in February, when he and the Kim Jong Un watched a basketball game together.
