Police looking for trio who robbed Sprint store in Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Goose Creek police are working to identify three suspects who robbed a Sprint store of iPhones and cash.

The armed robbery happened on Tuesday around 7 p.m. at the store located at 216 St. James Avenue.  According to an incident report, the clerk first noticed a suspect standing outside the business, occasionally looking inside.

A short time later, the clerk said another suspect walked inside and asked if they repaired iPhones.  When the suspect was told they did not perform the repairs, he cotninued to browse the store.  The next time the clerk looked up, he said the suspect was pointing a handgun at him and ordering him to the ground.

At that time, the clerk said the man he'd seen standing outside earlier entered the store, along with a third accomplice.  After ordering the clerk to hand over the keys to the cash register and the storage bin full of new phones and iPads, the suspects took off through the back door with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise.

Gotcha, a Goose Creek K9, tracked the suspects' trail to the back of the Shannon Park Shopping Center before losing the scent.  Police recovered some fingerprints and DNA from the scene.

The clerk described the suspects as black males standing about 6' tall, apeparing to be between the age of 20 and 30.  The suspects had closely-cropped haircuts and were wearing black shirts and jeans.  One of the suspects was wearing a green jacket.
