NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

North Charleston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a teen who has been spotted following females at multiple business establishments and fondling them once they get to the parking lot.

Police say the incidents have taken place twice at Food Lion located at 7500 Dorchester Road and once at Walmart located at 7400 Rivers Avenue. In each incident, the victim's noticed the suspect following them around the stores before fondling them when they got to their vehicles.

According to a report, the first incident took place on August 25 around 4:30 p.m. in the Food Lion parking lot. The victim told police the suspect came up behind her, grabbed her, and began rubbing his genital area against her. The suspect then grabbed her upper thigh and ran away.

The report states the suspect originally went after another woman, but changed course after seeing she had a child with her.

On September 1 around 11 p.m., police say the suspect pushed his victim against her car, lifted her dress, and grinded against her in the Walmart parking lot. A man parked in a nearby car chased the suspect off after hearing the woman's screams.

A third report states another woman was assaulted in the Food Lion parking lot on September 8 around 8:30 p.m.

Police say the suspect waited for the victim to get to her car, and then ran up behind her and grabbed her. The victim threw multiple elbows backwards at the suspect's head, forcing him to run towards a nearby bicycle and ride away.

Officers say it appears the same suspect was involved in each incident after reviewing video surveillance. Employees at Food Lion told officers the suspect has been seen hanging out in front of the store, but they did not know his name.

If you have any information on these incidents, call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
