Nine men busted in undercover prostitution sting

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested nine men following an undercover prostitution investigation in Orangeburg County.

Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office Chief Kenny Kinsey said the investigation started after his department had received numerous complaints about prostitution in the Edisto Drive and Main Street area.

"Thursday's night's sting was to curb some of the traffic in those areas and put everyone on notice that we will continue our efforts to make Orangeburg County safe," Kinsey said. "Sheriff Ravenell wants the residents and business owners in the area to rest assured that your concerns are being heard and we are utilizing a number of methods to address the issues in our county."

All nine men were charged with solicitation of prostitution.

The following men were charged in the investigation:

Derrick Devon Brooks, 36, of Santee
Allen Brown, Jr., 72, of Orangeburg
Quinn Tyler, 68, of Neeses
Roland Lamont Salley, 34, of Orangeburg
Justin Trumaine Edmonds, 23, of Orangeburg
Kenneth Maxie Lucas, 44, of Pelion
Claudio Coria Solis, 39, of Orangeburg
Eleazar Perez Gomez, 34, of Orangeburg
David Earl Shoemaker, 35, of Orangeburg
