John Mayer, Phillip Phillips to play the N. Charleston Coliseum

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The North Charleston Coliseum will welcome seven-time Grammy Award-singer, songwriter and guitar wizard John Mayer to the Lowcountry in December.

Mayer, along with special guest Phillip Phillips, will take the stage on December 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday, September 20 at 10 a.m.

The North Charleston stop is part of a 20-stop tour to promote his new album, Paradise Valley, which debuted No. 1 in four countries.

Mayer blazed on to the scene with his debut album Room for Squares in 2001, which featured such hits as "Your Body Is a Wonderland", "No Such Thing", and "Why Georgia". He went on to release 5 more studio albums full of chart-topping hits.

Joining Mayer on the tour will be American Idol Season 11 winning, Phillip Phillips. A Leesburg, Georgia native, Phillips gained immediate success with coronation song, "Home".
