Investigators: Lightning likely caused Mt. Pleasant house fire

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Fire investigators say lightning may have been the cause of a fire that caused significant damage to a home in Mt. Pleasant Monday evening.

Authorities say the fire happened on 388 Overseer Place. It took 20 firefighters an hour to control the blaze.

According to investigators, there were no injuries.

The Mt. Pleasant Fire Department and police department responded to the fire.
