Man charged with DUI after two hit by car on Bees Ferry Rd.

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators have charged a man with DUI after two people were transported to the hospital after being hit by a car on Bees Ferry Road Friday afternoon.

The Charleston Police Department arrested Harry Brabham.

Charleston Police Department spokesman Charles Francis says officials were called out to the area of Glenn McConnell and Bees Ferry Road around 2:12 P.M.

According to authorities Friday's accident is the second DUI in that area within 24 hours. A North Carolina man has been charged with driving under the influence after a wreck in the area of Bees Ferry Road and Grand Oaks Boulevard on Thursday.

Police arrested 65-year-old William Watford in that incident. Authorities say he had a blood alcohol level of .27.
