NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is offering help to South Carolina students who might be interested in attending a service academy.
On Saturday, Scott is putting on sessions in five cities throughout the state. Four more workshops are planned for Sept. 28.
Each session features a representative from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy.
Scott says students and parents will get the chance to ask questions about attending a service academy and get information about the nomination and application process.
