Three Bulldogs Earn MEAC Weekly Honors

South Carolina State's Caleb Davis was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Offensive Player of the Week, while Shaquan Brock was named Rookie of the Week, and teammateDomanic Wilson earned Offensive Lineman of the Week honors the conference announced on Monday.

North Carolina Central's Tazmon Foster was named Defensive Player of the Week and Florida A&M's Colby Blanton earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively.

Davis (WR, 5-10, 170, r-Sr., Florence, S.C.) caught five passes for 76 yards with two touchdowns to lead South Carolina State to a 59-6 victory over Benedict College. Davis averaged 19 yards per catch and recorded a long of 37 yards in the team's victory.

Foster (LB, 5-10, 215, Sr., Henderson, N.C.) amassed a game-high 17 tackles (8 solo) against No. 4 Towson, the most recorded by an Eagle in 10 years. He also forced a fumble in the game.

Brock (DB, 6-0, 205, Fr., St. Mary's Ga.) recorded two tackles and a 55-yard interception that he returned for a touchdown in the Bulldogs victory over Benedict College.

Wilson (OL, 6-5, 300, r-So., Lake City, S.C.) graded out at 89-percent of his assignments as he anchored the Bulldog's offensive line that accounted for 426 total offensive yards. He also added five pancake blocks and six domination blocks to aid SCSU to its highest point total of the season (59 points).

Blanton (P, 6-1, 210, Fr., Jacksonville, Fla.) recorded 402 yards on nine boots for a 44.7 average including a long of 78 yards against Ohio State. He placed three of his punts inside the 20 yard-line.

Other Top Performances

Nick Belcher (SCSU) averaged 43.8 yards per punt with one inside the 20 yard-line and one touchback against Benedict College.

Andrew Carter (SCSU) collected seven tackles, five solo, with two for a loss of 25 yards, including two sacks. He also recorded a team-high four quarterback pressures in the Bulldogs' victory over Benedict College.

Thomas Dixon (NCCU) totaled 128 yards of all-purpose yards, including 77 yards of kickoff return yardage, against No. 4 Towson.

Rolandan Finch (NSU) carried the ball 20 times for 108 yards and tallied five catches for 26 yards against Charleston Southern.

Lawrence Forbes (MSU) averaged 46.2 yards on four punts, including a game-high 49-yard boot, against Western Kentucky.

Seth Higgins (MSU) connected on 13-of-21 passes for 126 yards with two touchdowns against Western Kentucky. He gained 56 yards on 13 carries in the game.

Antonio Jefferson (MSU) collected three receptions for 20 yards with one for a touchdown, the first of his collegiate career, against Western Kentucky.

Michael Jones (NCCU) recorded his fourth interception of the season to remain tied as the FCS national leader and collected five tackles and two pass breakups against No. 4 Towson.

Davon Moore (DSU) collected a season-high 13 tackles, 10 solo, with one for a loss of two yards against No. 1 North Dakota State.

Jordan Reid (NCCU) completed 25 of 46 passes for 292 yards, including two touchdowns, against No. 4 Towson.

Lynden Trail (NSU) notched a season-high 10 tackles, four solo, with 1.0 sack for a loss of four yards. He also recorded two beak-ups and two quarterback hurries against Charleston Southern.
