Salvation Army Angel Tree registration open

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Registration is now open for Lowcountry residents looking to sign up for the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

The Salvation Army will begin the sign-up process on Monday, Oct. 14 and it will continue through Nov. 1 at their West Ashley location at 2135 Ashley River Road.

Volunteers will be on hand enlisting residents each weekday from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m., except for Wednesdays, when registration will be limited to just four hours, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In order to successfully register for the Salvation Army Angel Tree, which is supported by Debi's Kids, you must have:

  • Official photo ID
  • Birth certificate or proof of guardianship for children 12 & under
  • Clothing and shoe sizes for children
  • October 2013 Food Stamp Letter or a current print-out from DSS office

If you are employed, you must also bring a proof of income and documents showing household or "emergency" expenses.
