CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Lowcountry-based television series Army Wives has been canceled.
Lifetime announced Tuesday they were ending the drama, which follows the life of four Army wives and one Army husband, and focuses on the domestic aspects of military life.
It featured actresses Kim Delaney, Catherine Bell, Kelli Williams, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, and Wendy Davis.
The show was filmed in several spots around the Charleston area during its seven-season run, and was the longest-running series on Lifetime.
Disappointed fans aren't going to be left completely hanging though. A two-hour special with cast members looking back on the seasons will air early next year, according to the network.
