GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Trey Wade has outdone himself.

Less than a week after catching an 11-foot alligator during a Thursday hunting trip in Georgetown, Wade and his friends have bagged an even bigger reptile.

Wade says he and his buddies Robert Scott, Michael Cox, and Carl Scott caught a 560-pound, 12-foot gator at Big Bull Creek off the Pee Dee River in Georgetown.

The group still has plenty of time to hunt gators. Alligator hunting season opened up Sept. 14, and ends Oct. 12.
