COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) -

A Berkeley County man was killed during a crash on Interstate 77 in Columbia, authorities say.

Richland County Coroner Garry Watts said 55-year-old Albert G. Ham, of Jamestown, died after his 2002 Ford truck ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned.  The wreck happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said Ham was not wearing his seatbelt.

Watts says he's waiting on further testing to discover if Ham died due to the crash or because of a medical event prior to the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
