Gun reported stolen following Walterboro vehicle break-in

WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are investigating after a revolver was reported stolen out of a vehicle earlier this week.

According to an incident report, a Taurus revolver was stolen out of a 2000 Chevy Avalanche parked on Churchill Road sometime between Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7:20 a.m.

The victim told Walterboro Public Safety officers he was unsure if he locked his car the evening the gun was stolen.

There were no signs of forced entry, a report states.

Officers say other items stolen from the vehicle include the insurance and registration cards, and loose change.
