GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown County sheriff's deputies have arrested a 22-year-old fugitive wanted in connection to two burglaries in Pawleys Island, and they say he was caught with what appear to be drugs.
Deputies arrested Eric Wade Sanders at 7 Chapel Creek Road around 11 p.m. on Monday.
According to Carrie Cuthbertson, sheriff's office spokeswoman, Sanders was seen through a window inside the residence. Deputies then made contact with the homeowner, who led deputies to an upstairs bathroom where Sanders had locked the door. After being instructed, Sanders exited the bathroom and was taken into custody.
Deputies said Sanders had twelve small bags containing a brown powdery substance and seven white pills.
Sanders is being held in the Georgetown County Detention Center. He is charged with two counts of second-degree burglary. Additional charges are pending.
