MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) - Patriots Point is offering discounted admission to federal employees affected by the recent government shutdown.
Furloughed employees and their families will receive half-priced admission throughout the furlough period, according to a release from Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum.
"This is just a small way we can reach out to those visitors whose day-to-days have been suddenly altered," Executive Director Mac Burdette said in a statement.
To obtain the discount, furloughed employees must show a federal ID card.
Patriots Point is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
