GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce is reaching out to victims of the fire on historic Front Street in Georgetown.
The fire raged through the 700-block of Front Street last Wednesday and destroyed seven buildings, while damaging another. 10 businesses were affected, and 130 people lost their jobs.
The workforce agency is holding two meetings at the Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments on Highmarket Street.
The meetings are being held at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
