STOCKTON, CA (KCRA/CNN) – A large fire erupts at a recycling center in Stockton, CA.
Flames are seen clearly from aerials high over the recycling plant where two propane tanks ruptured burning the fire. Firefighters decided they needed to let the propane burn off.
Adding to the flames were large, wooden crated, bundles of cardboard and paper, even hay bales lending plenty of fuel for the flames.
The heavy smoke obscured parts of nearby Interstate 5, causing some trouble during the afternoon commute on Thursday.
