SC groups pushing Congress for immigration reform

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) - Several groups are getting together in the Lowcountry to talk about immigration reform.

Groups including the American Civil Liberties Union are gathering Saturday in Goose Creek. The event is part of something called a National Day of Action for Dignity and Respect.

Organizers say Saturday's event features artistic performances and speeches by advocates for immigration reform.

The South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center is also sponsoring the gathering.
