Woman hit by car following argument

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman died on Saturday after being hit by a car on Friday, according to the coroner.

Coroner Don McCown says 51-year-old Tammie Jackson Tucker ran into traffic after an argument with her husband.

The accident happened in Anderson County at about 11:40 p.m., McCown said.

McCown said after the argument, Tucker left Denny's and went to an IHOP on Clemson Boulevard. Shortly after, she ran into the road and was hit by a car.

The coroner said she died of a brain injury at 2:39 a.m. on Saturday.

The coroner's office and the Anderson Police Department are investigating.
