A spokesperson from the GCSO said that at 9 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a 911 call from Pennyroyal Road to the report of a 43-year-old man who had not returned from a hunting excursion.

Sheriff's deputies entered the woods behind his house and were able to find him within ten minutes at the bottom of his tree stand. The victim told deputies he fell from his tree stand after falling asleep.

Hucks said the man did not sustain life-threatening injuries, and they were able to land the helicopter near where he fell in an open field.
