Reports: Boeing 787 panel detached during flight to Bangalore

More trouble for the Boeing, after officials say a panel fell off one of its 787 Dreamliners while it was in flight over the weekend.

A 4-foot by 8-foot panel fell off the underbelly of an Air India 787 somewhere between its takeoff in Delhi and its landing in Bangalore. The pilot did not realize the panel was missing until after the flight.

The jet reportedly had about 150 people on board.

Boeing says the incident is under investigation.

The Dreamliner aircraft, which are made in North Charleston and Everett, Washington, have been hit with technical and safety problems since the aircraft was displayed in 2009.
