Pizza delivery driver robbed in Beaufort

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies are investigating the robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Beaufort Wednesday night.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said the Papa John's employee was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to deliver an order on Needles Road.

The victim told police he was walking down the driveway of a home when he was approached by four men. One of the suspects had a shotgun and another pointed a handgun at the victim's face, according to the victim.

The suspects took the victim's delivery order, wallet and cell phone. The men were last seen headed towards Cherokee Farms Road. The victim was unharmed and returned home to contact law enforcement.

No suspects have been identified. The owners of the home where the robbery happened said they never placed an ordered with Papa John's, according to deputies.
