Empty, two-story home catches fire in North Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a house fire in North Charleston Monday night.

Bianca Bourbeau with the North Charleston Fire Department says reports of a fire at 2620 Madden Street came in around 9:40 PM.

Mount Pleasant and Saint Andrews fire departments also responded.

Borbeau says no one lives in the two-story house that was showing smoke and flames when firefighters arrived on scene.

Electricity to the home was still turned on.

The flames were put out and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
