CofC Women Picked 7th In CAA, Frye Chosen For 2nd Team

Highlighting this year's preseason All-CAA women's basketball selections for the College of Charleston, is senior guard Alyssa Frye, who was named second team all-conference, as announced by the Colonial Athletic Association on Tuesday.
Frye, a native of Chester, Va., set a Southern Conference record last season with 95 three pointers made – good enough for 15th in the country.
Last season (the first under head coach Natasha Adair) the Cougars won 16 games (the third most in 23 years), made it to the quarterfinals of the Women's Basketball Invitational and set 20 school records. They will be led this season by Frye and senior floor-leader Jill Brown who ranked 13th in the country in assists p/game. The Cougars are also bolstered by a strong class of newcomers including four promising freshman along with transfers Erin Hall (Wake Forest) and Breannah Davis-Bloom (Norfolk State).
