Investigators seek help identifying gas station robbery suspect

MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for help identifying a robbery suspect caught on tape at a gas station in Moncks Corner.

On the morning of Oct. 13, the Moncks Corner Police Department responded to the Exxon on 101 N. Hwy 52 for a panic alarm.

The owner said around 10:30 a.m., a man entered the business and walked directly to the restroom. According to police, when the man left the restroom, he walked behind the cash register, implied he had a gun and said,"Give me the money I have a gun."

Authorities say the owner gave money to the suspect who then left the area.

Investigators say video surveillance showed the suspect pulled in to the parking lot of the gas station in a black 4-door vehicle, possibly a 2007 or 2008 Crown Victoria or Mercury Marquis.
