Authorities investigating cause of Georgetown fire

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown City Fire Department is investigating a fire along Fraser Street in Georgetown.

Fire officials say the blaze happened around 2:30 Thursday morning in an area above Georgetown Family Plaza.

Investigators say the fire started on the first floor and moved up to the second floor.

The second floor is destroyed, while the first floor suffered heavy smoke and heat damage. The fire is out at this time.

No one was hurt.
