WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a house fire that started in a sunroom in West Ashley killed a dog.
Officials with the Charleston Fire Department say crews responded to the fire at 2076 Rookery Lane at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday.
Crews were then able to bring the fire under control in ten minutes.
The fire displaced two residents and five dogs. However one of the dogs was not able to make it out of the house.
CFD's fire marshal division is investigating the cause of the fire. According to authorities, there were multiple heaters found in the sunroom where the fire started.
