14 Players from Lowcountry Chosen for North-South All-Star Football Game

Five Lowcountry schools with two players each headline the 14 players from the area that will be taking part in the annual North-South game in Myrtle Beach on December 14th. 

The game, which has been renamed the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, will feature rosters of 44 players each divided up of players from the North part of South Carolina vs. players from the South of the state. 

Goose Creek, who enters this week at 9-0, will be sending CB Omar McRae and WR Jordan Barnes. McRae has 61 tackles and 2 interceptions on the season. Barnes is the Gators leading receiver with 32 catches for 457 yards and 5 touchdowns. 

The other undefeated 4A team in the area, Stratford, will also be sending two players. RB Jourdan Johnson and LB Cecil Smith. Johnson has rushed for close to 600 yards with 8 touchdowns and added 28 catches for almost 300 yards and 4 more TD's. Smith has 80 tackles on the season, including 9 TFL, 4.5 sacks and an interception. 

Summerville is also sending two players in K/P David Kennedy and TE Sean Smith. 

West Ashley has their own duo going in LB Bobby Ruff and OL Brett Toth. Ruff, who has already committed to CSU, has 45 total tackles on the season including 15 for a loss. Toth is the Wildcats best offensive lineman grading out at 88% and has 25 pancake blocks on the year. 

Beaufort is the final Lowcountry team with two players heading to the game. Defensive Lineman Kentrell Seabrook and TE Stephen Baggett. Seabrook has 49 tackles, including 6 TFL, with 3 sacks and 1 blocked punt for a touchdown. Baggett has 21 catches for 433 yards and 7 touchdowns. 

The other Lowcountry players selected for the game are WR Trevor Pederson of Wando, RB Tresvon Coakley of St. John's, WR Corey Rawlings of Ft. Dorchester and WR Terrell Green of Hanahan.
