SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -

Police are on the lookout for a man responsible for an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in Summerville Thursday afternoon.

Summerville Police responded to Target in Azalea Square at 2:50 p.m. to investigate an attempted armed robbery. Witnesses say a man showed a handgun to the manager and wanted to access to the safe. Police say the suspect fled the store before he completed the robbery.

He left the scene in a small gold, two-door car and left toward Interstate 26.
