HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A federal judge has delayed the trial of the accused Ball Cap Bandit.

Cedrick Hicks is accused of robbing eleven banks across North Alabama. His trial was scheduled to start Nov. 18, but the judge set a new trial date of March 3.

Documents that were filed in the case said the government shutdown was a contributing factor to the need for the delay.
