Traffic back to normal following accident in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Traffic is back to normal following an accident in the area of East Bay and Calhoun streets in downtown Charleston Friday afternoon.

Charleston police officials say officers had been diverting traffic around the area as crews cleared the scene. 

Authorities say the accident happened around noon. 

The fire department and EMS are responded to the scene.
