CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Young adult literature and the people who write it are highlighting the third annual YALLFest in Charleston.
The one-day event on Saturday features 48 authors of young adult books, including 38 whose works have appeared on The New York Times bestseller lists.
The authors are appearing on panels and will be signing their books as well as reading from them.
One of the authors slated to appear is Veronica Roth whose first book, "Divergent" is being made into a movie to be released early next year and starring Kate Winslet.
The festival is directed by Jonathan Sanchez, the owner of Blue Bicycle Books. Events are being held at the bookstore as well as at the American Theater and the Charleston Music Hall in downtown Charleston.
