Seven AAAA teams from the Lowcountry have advanced to the postseason and will have a chance to keep their season going when the playoffs open on Friday night including undefeated Goose Creek who earned the top overall seed in Division 2.
The Gators (11-0) will begin their quest to get back to the state title game at home against Wade Hampton (3-8) on Friday night. Goose Creek, fresh off their win over Stratford, is hoping to get to their 2nd state championship game in the last 3 seasons.
The Knights (9-2) loss to Goose Creek dropped Stratford to the 5 seed in Division 2 and they'll open hosting Nation Ford (7-4).
Beaufort (8-3) earned the 6 seed and will host Blythewood (7-4).
In Division 1, Wando (4-7) managed to sneak into the postseason despite losing 3 of their last 4. But they'll have maybe the toughest test in the state as they'll take on #1 Byrnes.
Summerville is the highest seeded Lowcountry team in Division 1 at #3 and they'll face a familiar foe in round 1, their cross town rivals Ashley Ridge who the Green Wave beat 24-21 just 8 days ago.
Ft. Dorchester (7-4) won 3 of their last 4 to earn the 12 seed and they'll be on the road against Dutch Fork (8-3).
